I’m sorry, I’m not available for commissions or custom work for cosplay at all! I only do freelance design work (posters, packaging, wedding invitations, websites). I make costumes as a hobby and if I had to charge for commissions, I have to charge my freelance rate, which is $50 an hour because that is what my time is worth currently. With a full-time job, and an active freelance business from home (usually juggling 3-5 clients simultaneously), my spare time for hobbies is really precious and I can’t cut into it with more money-making ventures or reduce my rate for hours that are very few for me.

For example, my Amon mask took 20 hours. It would cost $500 to make plus the cost of materials. Even if I made a mold and just had to paint it, the paint job would still till at least 10 hours because I’d have to hand-paint it (some of the details are impossible to stencil) so it would still cost $250. That’s a pretty awful, unreasonable deal that no one in their right mind would pay.

I’m also really terrible with making things for other people. I get really neurotic and worrisome and anal retentive so I would end up putting in way extra hours to make sure they’d like it.

I’d be happy to direct any seeking commissions to friends who do commissions for a reasonable rates (you would need to ask them for a quote and availability)! I’m also available for questions, and would be happy to post my process for those that want to give anything I’ve made a shot!

I do occasionally sell costumes I’ve made and worn before though!
