Yesterday, I decided to be an ADULT and go out into public and do a shoot with Jules in my Amon, shot by Nikita! Much swag was swagged. This and AnimeNEXT will likely be my last outings as Amon before I sell him (sorry, already spoken for!)
But if you think it’s my last Amon costume, neop. Planning on doing this version because reasons.

I like this picture… BUT THAT HAND!!! Did anyone notice? It’s the left hand… but it’s curving like it’s a right hand!!! It’s really bothering me oh my gosh.
which hand are you talking about?
i’m not very good at hands so if you know specific anatomical terms/can red line it, that’d be a good criticism.
I can see what she means, she thinks the hand is grasping the neck, but to me, it looks like Amon’s using the back of his hand to brush Liu’s cheek.

Gauging interest! I just recently got hit with vet bills in the thousands, and a friend graciously offered to make a mold of my mask to help me cast copies so my funds can recover. Make Your Own Amon Mask PART 1: DIY Crafts for Noobs (Amon-datory bad pun goes here)
A Brief Introduction
A couple weeks ago, I found myself caught up in a sudden stroke of fan ambition. Upon seeing this awesome cosplay of Amon from Avatar: The Legend of Korra, a small dream was born. From that moment on, I was determined to make a replica mask of my own.
But there was one little problem: I had no idea how to do that. Rigid Wrap? Gesso? I hadn’t a clue what any of that was, let alone how to use it.
This is a complete noob’s guide for noobs on how to make an Amon mask out of a plaster bandage mold of your face. I feel like there are a lot of people out there who, like me, really want to make something like this but don’t know where to start or perhaps feel intimidated by the process. Don’t worry; this is do-able so long as you’re willing to try. I stress again that I knew nothing about mask making before trying this, so believe me when I say that it can be done.
For my own convenience, this guide will be split into separate parts that will be released in short succession of each other. Check the bottom of the page for links to each part.
Well then, let’s begin.
This is a wonderfully in-depth post on how to make a mask which you can digest since I am currently too unmotivated to make my tutorial, and it’s the exact way I made my Amon mask (thanks for the mention, dude!). I’ve used this method for nearly all my masks!
